Moms Like Mother’s Day Brunch, But Wanted Concealed Carry Training Instead

MILWAUKEE, WISCONSIN — About two dozen moms took the training course needed to receive their concealed carry permits on Mother’s Day, which was offered for free for moms at the USCCA expo.

“The United States Concealed Carry Association continues to get more and more members right here in this state. About 30-percent of those new members are women,” said Kevin Michalowski, executive editor of Concealed Carry Magazine. “We’re seeing a tremendous upswing in interest in women.”

The United States Concealed Carry Association held its first ever expo specifically directed towards those interested in concealed carry.

“I have a six and seven-year-old,” one mom said. “My husband works long hours and it’s nice for me to know how to protect myself at home.”

Every day, more and more women are coming over to the world of firearms and concealed carry. With this tremendous growth and interest, it’s refreshing to see events like this take place.
