Revenue Generated From Traffic Brought In Yesterday Because Of The Shootings In Virginia Is Being Donated To A Mental Health Organization, Matched By Media Lodge

The events that we reported on yesterday sent a lot of traffic our way, particularly our article that included the gunman’s video. After explaining why we decided to post it, the majority of readers seemed to be in agreement.

In any event, traffic translates to generated revenue, and we don’t feel right putting money in our pockets that was generated via this story.

So, we have decided to donate all revenue from yesterday to NAMI, National Alliance on Mental Health. You can view their website and learn about their organization here.

NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness, is the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness.

What started as a small group of families gathered around a kitchen table in 1979 has blossomed into the nation’s leading voice on mental health. Today, we are an association of hundreds of local affiliates, state organizations and volunteers who work in your community to raise awareness and provide support and education that was not previously available to those in need.

Total revenue generated by articles: $433.87
Total amount donated by Concealed Nation: $500
Media Lodge donation match: $500

We certainly aren’t breaking any donation records but after researching, we feel the money is in good hands and will hopefully help those affected by different mental health conditions.

Reaching out and providing help to the right people can possibly avoid tragedies like we saw yesterday.

We want to give a special thanks to our partner, Media Lodge, for matching our donation. We have been working with them since earlier this year, and are grateful for their generosity.

Here’s to hoping we can begin to focus on the real issues, and stop blaming the gun.

We invite any of you to make a voluntary contribution to a mental health organization of your choice.
